As Commander of the Detroit Power Squadron, we extend our thanks to you for taking the time to visit our website.
We are a fraternal, civilian boating organization focused on boating safety through education and civic service. We have been active for 95 years and are affiliated with the many squadrons of the United States Power Squadrons®
Public basic boating and member advanced boating courses are offered at various times of the year. Advanced courses include Seamanship, Piloting, Advanced Piloting, Jr. Navigation, Navigation, Sail, Weather, Cruise Planning, Engine Maintenance, Marine Electronics and various seminars. Membership is available to anyone. We enjoy discounts on boat insurance rates, computers, charts and other benefits offered to us, as well as many social events scheduled throughout the entire year.
Most of our meetings are held at the Detroit Yacht Club – a great place to network, socialize and grab a meal or adult beverage before or after the meetings!
